Ahead of Sonic the Hedgehog’s release this week, Puma launched a limited edition collection featuring Sega’s popular blue video game character.
Puma and Sonic are joining forces ahead of Sonic the Hedgehog’s release. Sega’s famous blue video game character will be featured in a new collection, which plays with the designs and graphics that appear in the game and the movie.
Sonic, who runs at supersonic speeds whilst collecting Golden Rings and battling Dr Eggman, has become a family-favourite and an icon for all generations, after making his debut in 1991. The PumaXSonic collaboration blends Sonic’s playfulness with PUMA’s iconic sports style design.
The PumaXSonic capsule collection consists of sneakers featuring the customised footbed and hedgehog logo on the tongue. Ahead of the movie’s release, the sneakers were dropped in two colour options with a semi-transparent white/black grid look, bright colour pops and gold accents.
The collection is supplemented with two PumaXSonic Tees and a Hoodie in vibrant blue and black options, with the caption, ‘You’re too slow’ on the sleeve. The collection was launched on February 7 and the movie is set to release on February 14.
