Extending their range of products, Mother Dairy will now start selling sandwich bread, brown bread and milk & fruit bread in Delhi.
Mother Dairy has announced its entry in the bread category, furthering its product portfolio. The brand will be producing and selling a range of bread that includes sandwich bread, brown bread and milk & fruit bread. While the former two are being marketed towards families, the latter is being launched as an offering for kids. The bread range is expected to strengthen the breakfast portfolio of Mother Dairy as a source of protein with low-fat content.
“To leverage the existing robust network of booths across Delhi NCR, Mother Dairy is bringing a nutritious, safe and good quality range of bread to its consumers of the region as a convenient food option for all age groups. Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt Ltd, Managing Director, Sangram Chaudhary, said about the launch.
Mother Dairy’s product portfolio already includes fruits, vegetables, edible oils, milk & dairy products and packaged sweets. Recently, the brand had launched Haldi Milk, in response to the pandemic-induced consumer needs.
Chaudhary said, “Apart from convenience, bread is also considered a staple food option for breakfast as it is ready to eat. Mother Dairy already offers milk, butter, cheese, curd and fruits. With bread, we also want to raise awareness about breakfast and how it is the most important meal of the day.”
He further explained, “The bread market in India is localised due to logistical and supply chain issues. With Mother Dairy this has never been a challenge because of our existing network. Hence, having bread in our kitty was a natural fit.”
The bread range in Phase – I will be available at approximately 1800 exclusive outlets of Mother Dairy and Safal F&V across Delhi NCR. The company is also exploring means to expand the market.
