F&B sector TAM Report

A TAM report finds Edible Oil, Milk and Tea to be common categories under the F&B sector that made their presence felt across mediums.

TAM AdEx-Advertising Report on Food & Beverages lists the highlights of the F&B Sector on TV, Print, Radio and Digital for the April to August 2020 period. It focusses on the top categories and advertisers, along with TV channel genres, zone-wise advertising share of key categories and celebrity endorsements.

The report recorded Ad Volumes for F&B on Radio to be surging by 4.6 times, 6.6 times and 8.7 times in June 2020, July 2020 and August 2020 respectively compared to April 2020. A 3.5 times growth in the F&B sector advertising was seen in Print during August 2020 compared to April 2020.

The top 5 celebrities that endorsed F&B sector brands on television in the April-August 2020 period were Virat Kohli, Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, MS Dhoni and Amitabh Bachchan. Dwelling on the professions of the celebrities, ads endorsed by film actresses had a 45% share of Ad Volumes, followed by Film Actors with 34% share.
