Life Insurance Ads on digital increased by 10% in 2020: TAM

TAM data indicates that Life Insurance ads increased by 34% on print and 10% on digital while on TV & radio it dropped by 8% and 41% respectively.

The TAM AdEx data on Life Insurance category for Q4’20 compared to Q3’20 includes ad volumes on TV, print and radio and digital, top 10 advertisers, exclusive brands, top TV channel genres and more.

Under the list of top advertisers of the category in Q4’20, 99% of the ad volumes in Print was contributed by LIC of India. On TV, 34% share of ad volumes was acquired by Shriram Life Insurance Company followed by LIC of India with 27%.  

Life Insurance Corporation topped on Radio with 99% share while ICICI Prudential Life lead digital with 80% share.

News & GEC channel genres together added 87% share of ad volumes for Life Insurance category on TV during Q4’20. Top 10 program genres added 89% share of ad volumes on TV.

Looking at the state-wise share of the category’s advertising on Radio, more than 55% of ad volumes was contributed by top 4 states, which are, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu during Q4’20.
