The festive season brought with it love, laughter, and a whole lot of food. After indulging to their heart’s content, as Diwali revelries wind down, healthy eating has come back into focus. Swiggy HealthHub witnessed a 25% increase in “healthy food” orders after the Diwali weekend.
Mandira has been in incredible shape throughout her career spanning three decades and is well-known for her fitness levels. Her fitness routine and diet have been a source of curiosity and wonder for many. Swiggy HealthHub will now not only spill the beans on Mandira’s diet choices but also enable users to order the very same combination of meals for themselves.
Speaking about the exclusive “Eat List” she has curated for users of Swiggy HealthHub, Mandira Bedi said, “As a fitness enthusiast, I believe that a healthy diet and exercise are both equally important. Having a healthy diet is essential for our overall wellbeing, both physical and mental and it is something that I can vouch for. However, one of the biggest practical hurdles in adopting a healthier lifestyle and eating healthy is meal planning and I am happy to see a large food aggregator like Swiggy making this journey easy for so many users. I am excited to partner with Swiggy HealthHub to put together and share a curation of my favorite healthy dishes that will hopefully inspire users to eat and stay healthy.”
Among the many changes brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic has been a marked increase in overall consciousness to eat healthy – a trend reflected in the fact that orders for healthy food have tripled on the Swiggy platform in the last year. Swiggy’s Health Hub was launched in July 2020 to offer healthy food options to users. It gives the nutritional break-up of each dish along with its calorie count. Over 300 restaurant brands joined health Hub in the last three months, with even indulgent brands now jumping on the health-food bandwagon by offering consumers healthier alternatives to their most-loved dishes.
Since September 2021, Swiggy has seen a 40% growth in healthy food offerings by brands. Swiggy HealthHub currently has over 100,000 healthy dishes of which 15,000 healthy alternatives to top indulgent dishes were added in the last three months alone. Swiggy foresees this restaurant trend of creating healthier alternatives to continue over the coming months.
Ashish Lingamneini, Head of Brand, Swiggy said, “Greater focus on healthy eating is an important trend that has emerged over the past year-and-a-half and will continue into the future as well. HealthHub, the first-of-its-kind dedicated destination on a large platform like Swiggy has enabled millions of users to start eating healthy. We have now made it even more exciting with the addition of the “Eat List” and are pleased to have a fitness icon like Mandira Bedi inspire our users. Our vision is to make healthy eating more accessible by addressing whitespaces like variety, nutritional information, taste, and price of healthy food.”
Users of HealthHub can check out Mandira Bedi’s Eat List on the Swiggy app, and enjoy the curated meals from November 15 – November 21, 2021.
