As lockdown measures begin to gradually ease up and athletes start to step out of their homes to reconnect with their teammates, adidas Face Covers are being launched as a means to facilitate the process while adhering to safety guidelines. The brand is leveraging its expertise in sports apparels to stay relevant in the lives of consumers as they deal with the consequences of a pandemic.
Two variants of Face Covers have been launched by the brand: adidas performance and adidas Originals Blue. Made from Primegreen fabric, these reusable masks would have two layers of fabric attached to stretchable ear straps.

Manish Sapra, Senior Marketing Director, adidas India, said about the launch: “As lockdown restrictions continue to ease, people would need increased protection while venturing out. The product is designed to help prevent the spread of viruses and germs through droplet transmission. We believe that the adidas Face Cover is another way we can support and work together with our consumers and community to make an even greater impact.”
Adidas has been reallocating design and supply chain resources to create reusable Face Covers that are being added to its range of products. Whilst not medically graded, these masks will be widely available to relieve the burden on limited medical-grade mask supplies.
