TAM AdEx-Television Advertising Report XI takes a look at the overall advertising scenario on television during Jun-Aug’20 (till August 22). The report also gives a comparative analysis of the same period v/s the numbers in recorded between June and August 2019. It further takes a deeper look at the top 5 advertisers on TV in the last two months.
According to the data recorded by TAM, there was a 6% increase in Ad Volumes on Television during Jun-Aug’20 (till August 22) compared to June-Aug’19. The share of News & Movies genres grew in 2020 compared to the same period in 2019. GEC, Music & Kids genres saw a decline in Ad Volumes.

The top 5 advertisers in the period under consideration were Hindustan Unilever (24%), Reckitt Benckiser (India) (9%), Procter & Gamble (3%), ITC (2%) and Colgate Palmolive India (2%). Among HUL brand, Clinic Plus Shampoo (4%), Horlicks (4%) and Surf Excel Easy Wash (4%) were advertised the most and consistently at it.
