Global smartphone brand vivo has announced the winners of their ‘Make in India’ logo. The winning logo, designed by Rahul Patel (a design enthusiast from Mumbai) and crowdsourced on Talenthouse India (a division of Reliance Entertainment) will be printed on all vivo devices including the recently launched V19.
According to vivo, the logo re-establishes the firm’s commitment to stay invested in the country, reiterating that every vivo device sold in India is made within the country.
Early November last year, vivo had invited people to design a new logo for the brand as part of their 5-year celebration. The winner was selected among 3300 entries and was rewarded Rs 5 lakh for the rights of the logo. Ten runners-up were given vivo devices.

It was great to see participants unleash their creativity and share so many wonderful designs. I congratulate Rahul for winning the contest as his design was a perfect blend of all elements that represent India that were strategically placed into a gear mechanism. Ingenious!”
“We are happy to collaborate with vivo on this Creative Initiative and we support their Make In India focus. This campaign involved artists across India and this truly reflects the diversity of our nation,” said Nitin Lakhotia, SVP- Business, Talenthouse India.
The winners of the contest were selected by vivo India’s creative team and designers from Talenthouse and the Creative team of Talenthouse India.
