Tata Global Beverages Ltd. today announced the appointment of Sunil Alaric D’Souza as Managing Director and CEO of the Company. D’Souza will assume this role with effect from 4th April 2020, subsequent to the retirement of Ajoy Misra, who is currently the MD & CEO of the Company.
Sunil D’Souza is currently the Managing Director of Whirlpool of India Ltd. His past four years at the helm of this Company have delivered strong growth and industry-leading financial returns. Prior to his leadership stint at Whirlpool India, he has served in several leadership roles in Pepsico. During his fifteen-year stint in Pepsico, he has handled all commercial aspects of the Company’s foods and beverages portfolio and has led the business successfully in a large cluster of Asian countries.

D’Souza began his career at Brooke Bond Lipton India Ltd. in 1993. He has 26 years of experience in the consumer goods industry, as well as an in-depth understanding of the foods and beverages categories. He brings to bear a strong focus on strategy, growth, and execution, including inorganic growth, all of which will be important to TGBL as it prepares to enter a new phase of growth and transformation. He is an engineering graduate from the University of Madras and holds a post-graduate diploma in management from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.

The Company also announced the appointment of Ajit Krishna Kumar as Chief Operating Officer. Ajit has a 20-year record of working with Companies to execute multiple complex and high-value transactions across a range of industries. He is currently Senior Vice President in the Chairman’s office in Tata Sons, where he leads Group strategy for consumer businesses.
