Radio Ad Volumes during January-March 2021 grew by 6% over January-March 20. Compared to October-December 2020, Radio Ad volumes observed a 12% decline in January-March 2021. During the period of October 2020–March 2021, the highest Ad Volume on Radio was registered in March 2021, according to the data recorded by TAM.
The Services Sector had a 27% share of Ad Volumes on Radio followed by BFSI with a 15% share during January-March 2021. TAM data further suggests that Properties/Real Estates category maintained its first position during January-March 2021 with an 11% share of Ad Volumes on Radio.
Housing/Construction Loans and Cement were the new entrants in the Top 10 list of categories in January-March 2021 compared to January-March 2020 on Radio. 130+ categories registered a positive growth in January-March 2021 over January-March 2020 on Radio.
LIC of India topped among the 3,400+ active advertisers on Radio during January-March 2021. 4 out of the Top 10 brands were from LIC of India. Pfizer was the top exclusive advertiser and brand during January-March 2021 compared to January- March 2020.
Gujarat state was on top with a 20% share of Ad volumes on Radio followed by Maharashtra with a 16% share. Prime Time was the most preferred time-band on Radio followed by Morning and Afternoon time bands.
