On 3rd December, Big Bazaar will kick start celebrations for World Disability Day with ‘Quiet Hour’ from 10 am to 12 noon in stores across India. During this period, store lights will be dimmed and no music will be played in the stores to give shoppers on the autism spectrum a comfortable shopping experience. Attentive store kartas will make sure that their differently-abled shoppers get all the assistance they need.
During the Quiet Hour, Big Bazaar stores across India will be hosting activities for differently-abled children, sponsored by Mattel. Activities will include colouring, building blocks and more.
They will also invite visually-impaired chef, Mamta Tambe, on Big Bazaar Food’s Cook Along show ‘Cooking Without Looking’ to demonstrate how she works wonders in the kitchen. The show will be streamed LIVE on Big Bazaar Food’s YouTube Channel from 5 pm to 6 pm.

Big Bazaar Food hosts Cook Along, India’s First Digital Cooking Class, on every Tuesday and Friday from 5 pm to 6 pm, where they give talented Homechefs a stage to showcase their culinary skills.
FBB will be launching a special fashion video with model Pranav Bakshi. Pranav is India’s first model with autism and hasn’t let his condition set him back.
In a continuation of the campaign, on 7th December, they are hosting ‘Able Hands‘ in stores where people can register as volunteers or specially-abled shoppers and shop together.
Volunteers will get a chance to interact with their specially-abled counterparts and experience first-hand how they use their heightened abilities to navigate day-to-day activities like shopping.
