Sugar Confectionaries was top new category during Aug-Sept 2020: TAM

TAM AdEx-Television Advertising Report-16 takes a look at the overall advertising snapshot across genres with data recorded between August and September (till 26th) 2020. It also highlights the advertising trends as seen in the top 2 genres (GEC and Movies) between June and September 2020. Further, it dwells on the top new categories and advertisers on television in the said period.

The top new categories that were seen to be present on television in August-September (till 26th) 2020 but not June-July 2020 were Sugar Confectionaries, Corporate-Sports, Laptops/Notebooks, Personal/Professional and Drycells. The list of top new advertisers included Vodafone Idea, Perfetti Van Melle India, FX Mart, Whitehat Education Technology and Unibic India.

The data recorded by TAM suggests that News genre added 31% share of Ad Volumes followed by GEC with 26% share. Average Ad Volumes/Day saw a rise by 5% for both GEC & Movies genres in September (till 26th) 2020 over August 2020.
