Apple, Amazon & Microsoft occupy top three spots: Best Global Brands 2021

Interbrand has released its Best Global Brands report for 2021. Compared to 2020, the top 100 brands witnessed a growth of 10% in 2021. The fastest growing and the top performing sector remains technology. The top three brands up 62.3% of the total value of the top ten brands.

Apple retains the top spot (valued at 408,251$m), followed by Amazon in the second spot (valued at 249,249$m) and Microsoft occupying the third position (valued at $210,191m) in 2021. Compared to 2020, Microsoft overtakes Google’s position from 2020 as the latter occupies the fourth position (valued at 196,811 $m).

As Apple retains its first position for the nineth consecutive year, the report shares that the real champion is Tesla, recording a near-tripling of its brand value resulting in a 26-point rise to 14th place.

In 2021, a new entrant into the top-100 best global brands is Sephora (valued at $4,628 million). Martin Brok, CEO, Sephora shared that the brand derived its success due to the work of 35,000 collegues and their culture of disruptive innovation. With Sephora’s entry, LVMH group becomes the first group eo have five brands in the list that includes Sephora, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., Hennessy, and Dior.

“On the surface, the 2021 Best Global Brands report suggests that market dynamics are returning to a semblance of
normality, said, Charles Trevail, Global Chief Executive Officer, Interbrand.

Some of the rising brands in the study are actively expanding possibilities, by driving decisive innovation, developing kinder, more viable business models, and making hard choices and taking uncompromising stances, highlighted the report.
