This Monday is historic for Mumbai is a big way as for the first time, the suburban railways have been announced to be shut for a week. It is a part of the lockdown that has been announced for multiple cities in Maharashtra. As a consequence, several Mumbai newspapers were not printed today. The newspaper vendor association in the city played a major role in the decision as physical delivery of newspapers is not possible at the moment.
While most Mumbai newspapers are pushing their e-paper and digital offerings, reassuring readers, TOI has only put up the announcement on its e-paper portal. In the case of Hindustan Times, a prominent announcement with CTA instructions to navigate the e-paper properly were made by Executive Editor Sachin Kalbag.
